Welcome new Chapter FIT Liaison, Vanessa Blumer, MD

Vanessa Blumer, MD, is currently a first-year cardiology fellow at Duke University Medical Center. Vanessa is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, and received her Medical Degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela. She completed Internal Medicine Residency and a Chief Resident year at University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital, before moving to Durham, North Carolina for Cardiology Fellowship in 2019. After concluding Cardiology Fellowship, she plans to further her training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, with the goal of pursuing a career in academic cardiology.
